Transfer your domain to Verpex without any hassle
Domain transfer varies depending on the domain TLD and the current registrar, some transfers are instant while others take a few days for processing by the registry. When a domain is transferred, the nameservers remain the same, transferring your domain will not affect your hosting.
Before the Transfer
For a hassle-free transfer, ensure all restrictions are removed, and contact details are valid and up to date because this is where the verification link for the transfer email will go and, your EPP code is handy. Check the following steps:
- Has your domain been registered for 60 days and more? A domain can not usually be transferred within 60 days of registration.
- Was there a recent change to the email address, first and last name or name of the organisation within the last 60 days? As a security feature, there is usually also a 60-day period in which you cannot transfer a domain after changes like this.
- Is the registrar lock disabled? Some domains have a transfer lock. Make sure your domain is unlocked with your current provider

Step 3: Enter the domain name, click the transfer button
Step 4: Input the EPP code
Step 5: Click next, this takes you to the payment page, pay and check out
In some cases, an email will be sent to your administrative email address to approve the transfer, click the approve transfer to approve the transfer. This is increasingly rare due to GDPR changes and often you will not an email a all. Now wait for the transfer to be completed, you will get an email notifying you of the successful transfer.

How much do Transfers cost?

To transfer a .uk domain to Verpex, the customer needs to follow these steps:
- Change the IPS tag of the domain to "VERPEX".
- There is no charge for transferring a .uk domain, and it does not include a compulsory renewal.
- After changing the IPS tag, the domain transfer typically happens immediately upon confirmation.
By ensuring that the IPS tag is accurately updated, the transfer process will proceed smoothly. If there are any delays or issues during the transfer, it's advisable to contact Verpex support for assistance.
.au Domain Transfer
To transfer a .au domain to Verpex, the customer should follow these steps:
- Obtain the domain password (EPP/Auth code) from their current registrar.
- Ensure they have access to the registrant's contact email, as an approval email will be sent there.
- Log into their Verpex account or create a new account if they are a new customer.
- Initiate the transfer process:
For existing customers, log in, navigate to "Transfer Domains," and enter the domain name and EPP code.
For new customers, visit the Verpex domain transfer page and enter the required information along with the EPP code. - After submitting the transfer request, the registrant will receive an email to approve the transfer. They must click the approval link in that email.
- Once approved, the transfer typically completes within 48-72 hours.
- It's important to note that the domain's name servers cannot be modified while it is in pending transfer status.
Additionally, if the domain is expiring within 89 days, they will need to renew it during the transfer.
