Make sure to keep your WordPress up-to-date to ensure that your website is secure and has the latest features. It is also a good practice to test the upgrade on a non-production environment first before doing it on a live site.
Follow these steps to upgrade a WordPress version
- Go to the WordPress dashboard and check if there is a notification for an available update.
- If there is an update available, click on the Update Now button.
- Wait for the update to complete. This may take a few minutes, depending on the size of your website and the speed of your server.
- Once the update is complete, check your website to make sure everything is working properly.
If you have any issues, restore your website from the backup you made in step 1.
