When I Change Between Hosting plans is there any Downtime ?

The accessibility of your website is one of the key factors in the success of your business. Downtime is the amount of time your website will be unavailable during the migration process, this could permanently damage your traffic, reputation, and revenue.

Transferring from one host to another has now been simplified and made easy, however, we do not guarantee 100% successful transfer process because at some point, you might still experience downtime during the propagation. Depending on what goes on behind the scenes, the transfer of DNS servers between the old and new web hosts can cause a domain to go dark for between 1 to 4 hours after the request for such a change is submitted to the new registrar.

There are some techniques to employ to minimise downtime:

  1. Ensure that all features(database, subdomain, software configurations) are working properly before canceling the old hosting plan
  2. Refrain from making changes to the site until the process is complete.
  3. Download and compress backup files to the new server
  4. Update the new domain name servers as soon as the transfer is completed, not in the middle of migration

As soon as the data transfer is complete, our technicians will provide you with all the necessary details via the submitted ticket and promptly resolve any issues that may arise.
