# Importing and Restoring a cPanel Account into Enhance
*A step-by-step guide for resellers migrating customer accounts from cPanel to Enhance.*
Importing your cPanel account into Enhance is straightforward and gives you the ability to perform your own account restorations without needing to rely on support staff. This is especially useful for accounts that need to be restored on a tight timeline.
**Important:** Do not create the domain or website account for the account you are importing before starting this process — doing so will cause issues.
# **Step 1: Create the customer account**
Log into your Enhance account and create the customer's account
# **Step 2: Go to Import Website**
After the customer is created, head over to Websites > Import Website.
# **Step 3: Select your previous hosting provider**
Select your hosting provider. In this case, we are restoring the cPanel account of a cPanel customer, so select cPanel and click Next step.
# **Step 4: Select the import method**
"Upload website backup" should already be selected — simply click Next step.
# **Step 5: Choose your backup file**
Click Choose file to upload the cPanel backup file you have. If you need help generating a cPanel backup with your original cPanel provider, the steps are provided on this screen.
# **Step 6: Wait for the upload to complete**
After selecting the backup file, you'll see it uploading. Wait until the upload is complete, then click Next step.
# **Step 7: Review and import**
Once you see "Everything looks good. To import your website, click 'Import'," click Import!
# **Step 8: Wait for the import to finish**
After you click Import, your account will be imported and will show as completed once finished, so you can move on to your next import.
# **Step 9: Assign the website to the customer**
After importing the website, the last and most important step is assigning the website to the customer. Click Websites to see your list of websites, click the three dots on the far right of the imported site, select Transfer ownership, and then select your new customer as the owner of the account.
**That's it!** The cPanel account has now been fully imported and restored into Enhance under the correct customer.
